| Overview |
|
|
| In
two decades of practicing medicine, I've learned that being
a good physician means making a profound commitment. Not simply
a commitment to medical excellence, but a commitment of time,
effort and personal energy. In other words, a personal commitment
to you.
Today,
I'm able to provide that level of focus. I call it Personal
Medicine, and it's a simple premise. You'll be able to reach
me. You won't have to compete for my attention. You'll be
seen same-day or next-day. You'll get as much time and attention
as you need, and you'll be treated like a person rather than
a "clinical entity." In essence, you'll get an intimate
doctor-patient relationship.
And you'll be a priority.
|
| Time |
|
|
Being
a good doctor takes time. Not just years of hands-on experience,
but dedication of time to you and to doing what's right for
each concern that arises. This careful, communicative and thorough
approach is especially important if you have multiple health
issues or take medications and are concerned about drug interactions.
No matter what your situation, your health is |

too valuable for your healthcare to be rationed out in small
bits of time. Or to risk missing an important detail in the
interests of speed. Since the number of patients I see is limited,
I'm able to focus on wellness rather than illness, and I invest
whatever time is necessary to ensure you're getting thorough,
focused and highly personal care.
Also, your time is valuable, and you shouldn't have to waste
it in a physician's waiting room. For me, Personal Medicine
means spending more time with you. For you, it means
-
you'll get flexible scheduling
- you'll get an appointment the same day or the next day
- you'll be seen promptly
- you'll receive your lab results and imaging or specialist
reports within 24 hours after I receive them

| Care |
|
|
| I
care about my patients, and I believe it's essential to the
doctor-patient relationship. It's also the reason I devote my
personal energy to your medical care, including gathering the
important facts about your health myself, rather than getting
it second-hand from several different staff members. My experience
has been that people want their doctors to be more closely involved
in their health, so I offer a unique level of one-to-one communication
and attention that extends beyond the walls of my office. And
I make sure I'm accessible to you when you need me: |
- you'll have my cell phone number
- you'll have my e-mail address
- I will respond to you personally and promptly
- there will always be a physician on call for emergencies |

|
|
Of
course, caring is about more than just ready access. It's about
genuine concern for you. It's about thoughtful, thorough medicine.
And it's about taking pride in how you're cared for, which means
- you'll get open, honest communication
- you'll be treated with courtesy and respect
- you'll have a doctor and staff who listen to you
- your healthcare will not be rushed or rationed

| Committment |
|
|
| I'm
committed to providing medical excellence, and I'm proud to
be able to concentrate resources on you in a way that isn't
typical of modern healthcare.
For
starters, with far fewer patients, I'm able to spend extra
time on communication and providing important information
about your individual case, your medical options and ways
to improve and protect your health. And in truth, as your
needs change, I will educate and inform myself throughout
our relationship.
|
| If
I believe you need specialized medical attention, I'll tell
you. And I'll refer you to a capable physician whom I trust.
I'll also stay closely involved in the care you get from other
doctors. And if you should be hospitalized, I'll be there to
represent your needs.
In
order to maintain a complete perspective on your health, I
use sophisticated record-keeping systems that manage the details
of your medical history. This is a powerful component of Personal
Medicine. It allows for effective doctor-to-specialist interaction,
complex disease management and coordination of multiple medications
and treatments.

Our patients receive complimentary beverages and snacks including
gourmet coffee that is brewed fresh, daily.

Trust |
|
Everyone
wants a physician they can trust. That's because trust is the
backbone of the doctor-patient relationship.
|
Throughout my nearly 20 years as a physician, I've worked hard
to earn patients' trust and to offer care that's advanced and
effective. I've had formal training in several medical disciplines
and participated in many nationally significant medical studies.
I am also proud to be board-certified in internal medicine,
pulmonary medicine, critical-care medicine and sleep-disorders
medicine. Not only is it important that I earn your confidence,
I believe diverse training and experience increase the breadth
of my knowledge and understanding
and the quality of the
care I'm able to provide. |
|

|
With Personal Medicine, my mission is to give you close, careful
and thorough medical care. To forge a lasting, communicative
relationship that's focused on your needs. To go beyond what's
expected and work diligently in the best interests of your health.
And to be there when you need me.
I believe time, caring and commitment are the keys to earning
earn your trust
and to being an excellent doctor. That's
why they will always be priorities in my practice, and so will
you.
